You can complain to us in several ways:

  1. You can submit a complaint referral form on this website by clicking on the name of the organisation that you wish to complain about and following the instructions.
  2. You can submit a complaint by post using a hard copy of the form you have printed out or from our leaflet Seeking a Fair Resolution.
  3. You can telephone the ICR office on 02072786251 to speak to one of our investigations officers who will take down the details of your complaint.
  4. You can e-mail the ICR office on enquiries@icr.gsi.gov.uk

The ICR cannot investigate complaints about:

  • Decisions made by the organisations based upon the statutory provisions under which they operate
  • Complaints by the organisation's employees concerning their employment
  • Complaints which have become the subject of legal proceedings
  • Complaints which have been investigated or are under current investigation by the Parliamentary Ombudsman
  • Complaints which relate to current investigations by the police or taxation authorities

Please remember that the ICR cannot consider your complaint if you have not already made the complaint to the organisation concerned, and received its final response.
